07/31/2008: Rebecca Anne
Rebecca Anne, our newest little bundle, arrived safely in the wee hours of the morning on July 16th (why can't they ever come in the middle of the day?). Mother and baby are both doing well. A big thanks to everyone for all of your prayers and support, and a special thank you to the Lord for another blessing and miracle.

06/08/2008: RadioIndy Review of "Abandon"
“Abandon” by Stephen Bautista is an outstanding, thought-provoking contemporary Christian CD that features Stephen’s outstanding vocals delivering strong messages about faith and life. Stephen gives us a glimpse of life through music and lyrics. He gives a strong energetic vocal and lyrical performance that pulls together the emotions and experience of his life. The musicianship on the CD is outstanding and effectively presented with radio-ready production. Throughout the CD Stephen speaks of how his own journey to his Christianity was a battle of conscience and was rewarded with faith. This is a CD that shows the sense of strength Stephen feels about his faith and will encourage those listening to forgive themselves. In “The Most Beautiful Thing” Stephen gives testament to his beliefs and his faith using smooth vocals nicely blended above beautiful acoustic guitar work. “Grace Beyond My Need” features an adult rock sound with nice electric guitar work and another strong vocal performance by Stephen, highlighted by interesting backing vocals. “Forged in the Fire” features beautiful acoustic guitar work and a fun vibe that leads to rich harmonies and a strong chorus. This is a great CD for those who seek to better understand themselves and their faith. -Lea and the RadioIndy Reviewer Team

03/30/2008: Cat Out Of The Bag
OK, it's time to let the cat out of the bag. The Lord has seen fit to UNEXPECTEDLY bless us with our 6th child, who is due in July. And yes, I truly believe this is a blessing, and we are all very excited about our new addition. This blessed event does, however, beg the question -- what about the music ministry and all the plans for the summer tour? Well, unfortunately they have been canceled and future dates have been put on hold until we can fully assess our new situation. Traveling with a newborn, or leaving a wife and six kids on their own so that I can tour across the country would not be the most responsible act. First and foremost, I am a family man and they will always come first. I'll admit though, that I have questioned why the Lord has seemingly lead me down this music ministry road with the release of a new CD and many new opportunities, only to put this blessed roadblock in the way. As I seek God's answer on that question, along with his guidance and my patience, I ask for your prayers, encouragement, and support with regards to both the upcoming birth of our new baby and the future of my music ministry. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!

Blessings,
Stephen
